In a text message to Eli earlier this morning I casually mentioned, “I want that Thai noodles that you like…” and forgot all about it. It was a passing craving, slightly after I Twittered (@keepmylover): Hmmm, some char kway teow right now would be lovely.

A couple of hours later, done with his appointments for the day, Eli showed up at my door with two piping hot servings of Pad Thai.

I melted right there at his feet.

Attentiveness to your partner goes a long way. It shows that you are listening, are aware of their needs and wants, and take positive action to make them feel good.

It is no wonder why I am so crazy about this man. Eli shows me time and time again that he is listening to what I say, even when I am not paying attention to myself. He shows me that he cares and will go out of his way to fulfill my needs and desires. This is the kind of partner everyone is looking for. And I can testify that such persons exist. One for you and one for me.

And this is a reciprocal relationship.
