True love: He held my hair while I had my head in the toilet, then he cleaned up after me

Phew! What a day! Ever since my fall from “never sick grace” on Sunday, I haven’t been feeling perfect, but good enough to get on with life thanks to the dedicated care of my beloved man. However! Today was a new downfall.

For the first time in a long time, I found my head in the toilet. I do not remember when was the last time I felt this ill but boy oh boy. Today got progressively bad.

Shortness of breath, heavy limps, zero appetite and great discomfort in my abdomen – sometimes too unwell to even whine – cumulated to the Great Niagara Falls, from my gut into the toilet and then a follow up Merlion into the Singapore River. The fast and furious flow of meals from long ago tumbling out with A LOT OF LIQUID overwhelmed my uvula and threatened to drown me. Not fun to feel like you have chunks of salmon stuck in your nasal cavity! “Where did all that water come from?” A question Eli couldn’t stop pondering.

That sweetheart of mine did not flinch one bit as he held back my hair and watched me hurl all my insides out. He says it is the first time he has seen someone vomit and not feel like vomiting too. This makes me smile because it means he was very concerned with my wellbeing at that point and “forgot” about the disgust and himself. He even cleaned up after me!

And to further illustrate how undisgusted he is with what he had just witnessed, he kissed me.

Then he fed me chicken soup that he had slow-cooked from scratch. WHAT A GEM!

I guess I must have thrown out all the bad stuff that was making me sick because I am feeling so much better now. Especially now that the taste of vomit is off, I am eft with the feeling of a bug in my throat and ears – good enough for me, for now. And of course, the feeling of love, love, love, love is all you need!

Prior to this regurgitation episode, Eli kidnapped me to the doctor and I have to go in for a test in the next few days. I intend to go in tomorrow morning because there is a four-hour fast involved and I am not a starver.
