Eli says I am curious like a cat.

Because I have always been curious about the allure of a lover who speaks a foreign tongue and how “sexy” it is, I constantly ask Eli to say something in French.

This evening, he broke out in song… (I wish I could share the recording with you, but that goes into my personal collection).

Loosely translated, Eli tells me:

“If you don’t exist, how can I exist?”

Added, “I’ll jump out the window.”

And another line he wouldn’t translate. My sister later tells me it is a declaration of love.

I knew I heard “je” and “amour”!

Should have been more serious in learning French, the “most romantic language in the world” and the language of l’amour de ma vie!
