It is my sister’s birthday today and what did I do for her?

I let her bring me to the mall so I could go shopping! I am such a wonderful sister!

She had a big birthday party at our house this past weekend where she invited her friends from all over Greater Vancouver to sit around, feast on the food she had laboured day and night over, eat some yummy cake and sit around some more. No one else including her, were as excited about the presents as I was. I had to keep bugging her to unwrap her gifts!

I guess I was more excited about unveiling what I had given her more than anything else!

On my birthday shopping trip last week, I bought a black dress that was so well tailored and form fitting, I could not resist buying it although I already have one that looks very much like it! One argument could be that I paid so much for my other black dress which I have yet to wear, and buying this one just averages down the price! I figured my sister likes the dress very much too although she did not want to fight me for it, and perhaps just hope I am perpetually in a good enough mood so she could borrow it whenever.

Well, after much thought, I figured that since I already have one black dress that is just as form fitting and of a heavier material (which I prefer) and I don’t even work in an office anymore, I should let my sister have the dress. It fits her very nicely and she could really do with a dress like that!

So yes, I was very excited for her to have it. I was actually a little disappointed that she wasn’t as thrilled to see it as I had hoped she would be. Ah well, to each their own! I get excited over a new dress and she doesn’t but that’s cool.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG SISTA! I’ve said all I wanted to say to you in the letter that I hope you have not misplaced.
