Sitting side by side in a quaint little café, sipping on Earl Grey loose leaf and pounding away on our laptops, I felt complete happiness.
The Earl Grey tea was the best I’ve ever tasted. Not quite sure if it was the grade of tea or the fact that Eli had added his touch to it, but it was really good. Recalling the face I made when I asked him if he added sugar and he did, I feel embarrassed because it wasn’t a pretty face. It was a face of annoyance because, “I don’t add sugar to my drinks!â€
It was a busy work afternoon and stressful at times, but it was a wonderful day.
Blocked off from the noise of the outside world and letting it blur out the corner of our eyes, we worked till the sun went down and I was completely happy!
I wasn’t angry that we had worked the entire day or allowed myself to switch off the laptop and still be high-strung.
It was a wonderful day.
