My Valentine Miracle

One of the gifts I received from Eli this Valentine’s Day is a very delicate bracelet of hearts with pink gemstones.

On the very next day, I experienced a miracle, a much needed renewal in my faith with this very bracelet.

I had fallen asleep with the bracelet secured to my left wrist. With experience that I am prone to yank off jewellery while asleep, the first thing I did when I regained consciousness was to check that it was still in place. It was.

Unfortunately, within the hour it had disappeared. I thought perhaps it got caught in the woollen sweater I had on. I checked the floor I walked on, I checked the sweater – not a pull in place. I turned my bags inside out. Nothing. I checked the fridge of which I had replaced some food. Nothing.

I grabbed a flashlight and went looking outside. Nothing.

I fell on my knees and prayed. I asked Mother Mary for her intercession to speak to her son to bring back my bracelet to me. I asked St Jude Thaddeus, Patron Saint of Loss Causes/Impossible cases, to please bring my bracelet back to me. Help me find it. Tell me where to look. Bring it back to me.

Distraught, I looked for distraction. I got work emails out of the way and read some entertainment news. Hungry, I went back down to the kitchen, but not before getting a prompt reminding me of this light sound I heard earlier on when grabbing my lunch bag. On the other hand, I had emptied the lunch bag earlier and there was nothing in it. I had checked the containers that were in the bag, the bracelet was not there.

Nonetheless, I have to eat. So I went down to the kitchen, opened the fridge and… Hey, why is there a silver mass of stuff on the cling wrap covering the pasta salad I had placed in the fridge earlier this morning?

MY BRACELET!

Praise Be Jesus! He had heard my desperate call for help and in His way, brought my bracelet back to me.

I am so certain that when I looked before, it was not there. I looked everywhere before I looked to Jesus, when Jesus should have been the first place to look. Look into the heart and eyes of Jesus, and you know you are never left alone.
