I truly believe that she deserves better. But if what Eli says is true, that if a couple can stay together and be truly happy together for more than 60 days, then they must be similar, then she’s got what she deserves.

This also means that I have to scrap all these years of knowing her because I have obviously been wrong.

This also means that my understanding of all those tears she has cried and times of uncertainty and Dear John letter was wrong.

At the same time, my gut feel of someone has always been spot on.

But for her sake, I hope I’ve been wrong all these time.

And because I believe everyone deserves to be happy, I have decided to stand by her and help her be as happy as she can be despite every bone in my body pulling the other way, and my gut literally revolting, despite of it all.

But this doesn’t mean I’m never going to say, “I told you so”.
