What makes a lovely bathroom? One that doesn’t constrict my nerves the way this list of pet peeves do.
Bathroom pet peeves:
- Bathroom tissue not torn off at the perforated line.
- Empty bathroom tissue holder.
- Bathroom tissue rolling towards the wall.
- Tube of toothpaste left uncapped.
- No hand towel.
- Soap suds on shower door.
- Water around the sink.
Bathroom pet peeve specific to Canadian bathrooms:
- Lack of drainage.
What is up with Canadian bathrooms? Doesn’t it sound ridiculous that bathrooms are designed to be “dry” bathrooms? What happens if you’ve got a tonne of unintentional water accumulation on the ground? Where does the water go when you scrub the walls or the floor? There has to be a hole in the ground for which to drain water from bathroom floors.Perhaps this isn’t limited to Canadian bathrooms, but I do remember seeing drainage on the bathroom floor of many hotels I’ve stayed at in different countries.
Another reason why Eli and I fit so well? He shares this list of pet peeves, although, he might add this one line:
- Hair on the floor
I’ve purposely left that off the list because while it does annoy me to an extent and sometimes I go on a rampage to pick up every strand, I have come to terms with reality. You have to when you experience hair loss as abundant as mine, particularly when blow drying.
