I am seriously very frustrated with the state of my hair. It is all shiny and healthy looking on the surface, but deep beneath these deceiving black locks are locks of hair that are so tangled they create a net-mesh like effect that is almost impossible to untangle. They feel the most horrible when Eli is running his fingers through my hair or brushing them away from my face and getting his fingers caught in the knot. What a buzz killer tangled hair really is!
I showed this net-mesh hair on my head to my sister the other day and her first words were just how disgusting my hair looks!
Also, I will be bald by the time I turn 25 if my hair doesn’t stop falling out at the rate it is each day.
This problem started after 2 months of using TRESemmé shampoo.
Initially I was very thrilled when Mom bought these gigantic black bottles of shampoo enriched with vitamins great for skin cells. Obviously their marketing ploy or rather, tagline about it being used by professionals worked on me. The coy packaging also reminded me of those bottles that lined the shelves of my hairstylist. Always lovely hair. But of course, my hairstylist was using Wella.
In my first week of using TRESemmé, my hair smelt really good and I was raving about how much less hair I was losing. I even convinced Eli to get one for himself! And he did.
TRESemmé introduced dandruff to Eli.
TRESemmé embarrassed me with my rapid hair loss. My hair was ALL OVER THE FLOOR even when I’m not touching it!
In the shower, I have a habit of counting each and every strand of hair I managed to catch in my hands, which I would then dump into the trash. Day by day, the number grew till I could no longer count. It was a visible mess.
I dry my hair immediately after each shower, and I would lose even more hair. I would find hair all over my sink, on the floor, on the toilet bowl and even on the walls. When I try to comb my hair out, no matter how gently, another CHUNK falls off, all tangled up. Live-in conditioners worked for a while at helping me untangle the mess, but that solution soon gave up.
My hair is frazzled and hair loss astounding.
Naïve, I thought it was the way I dried my hair. But it is not. I have not changed the way I dry my hair, but to give TRESemmé shampoo the benefit of the doubt, I tried drying my hair without hairdryer, etc. But you know what? My hair is tangled straight out of the shower. Even my childhood “trick” of combing my hair while it is still wet and slick with shampoo didn’t work because my hair was never slick even with TRESemmé shampoo on it!
I am very frustrated and finally understand what those shampoo advertisements are trying to illustrate. Honestly, I never had such a problem with my hair before and thus could never understand the expression on the model’s face.
Body wash worked great on my hair. I had people asking me what’s my secret. I laughed and told them I used body wash cause we ran out of shampoo in the house!
I’ve used brandless, mass produced and packaged shampoos, and never such a mess and/or massive hair loss.
This is ridiculous. TRESemmé shampoo is not a shampoo suitable for any living, breathing organism. Not humans, not animals, not creatures.
Unless of course one enjoys rapid hair loss, tangled, coarse hair, dandruffs and embarrassment.
p.s. I know the mess of tangled hair pictured with TRESemmé shampoo bottles may cause some upset. This is but a fraction of how much hair I lose each day, and a fraction of how disgusted I am about TRESemmé shampoo.

i know what you are talking about me and my husband are also loosing our hair to this shampoo. it looks to be the same amount also. i noticed the bottle does not have a number to call for complaints or anything which makes me wonder if they are aware of the problem.

Im from norway, and the last month i have been using the same shampoo as you. i have been loosing MUCH ahair for about 2 weeks now, and i was afraid that something was wrong with me. I started thinking about the shampoo, and when i found this website i was “happy”, knowing that the shampoo may be the cause, since many other people has the same problem. my hair is much thinner now, and i am so afraid that i will loose more… :S
I’ve noticed that i have dandruff after using TREsemme. I was at the hairdresser today and she pointed out my dandruff When i said I use tresemme she said it’s the worst, she actually used it for a bit and noticed the same thing. Funny when she was brushing my hair out and a bunch of hair was coming out i mentioned that I have been lossing a lot of hair the past month or two. I thought it was stress maybe, eventhough i don’t think i’m any more stress than usual. Lately I’ve been cleaning my shower drain twice a week before it was twice a month. So yesterday was my last day using TRESemme. I don’t expect a whole lot from my shampoo just clean my hair. TRESemme is most definately the cause of my issues i’m 28 and have never had dandruff til I use this shamp and cond. Its a shame it’s such a big bottle i’m going to try and get my money back wish me luck

yes i agree with everyone that tresemme shampoo and conditioner is the cause of dandruff which i now have and have never experienced in my life. I have only used this product for a week and have already noticed dandruff and an itchy scalp. Luckily for these posts i can quickly disgard it! what a waste of money!
Yes, TRESemmé has caused much distress! For a while, I thought it was just the changing weather so the change in hair texture etc. But when everyone in my family, including those living in other parts of the world had complaints after using TRESemmé, it wasn’t difficult to pinpoint the real reason. Do spread the word, lest we loose our crowning glory before its time.
Goshh, I thought it was my personal problem which causing hair fall. Now only I found out so many ppl got the same problem as me after using tresemme. Feel like Im gonna become bald. Even my boyfriend said I’m becoming an old aunty.I’ve been using this shampoo for 6 months! My god, no way..I should had check out the problem a few months back. Feel like I wanna scream. I don’t know why my scalp is paining everytime and my hair hair keep on falling down. My hair was hella thicker than anyone else, and now…aww..I’m like old aunty. I’m gonna check some organic brands. I don’t mine to spend more just to get my hair back.
Does anyone know if your hair does get back to normal after this ? Does hair grow back to normal? Please help. I’m going crazy about what Ive done to my hair in only 3 weeks of use of that shampoo
I’ve been trying to get mine back to shiny and smooth. It is still an uphill battle, but I am so happy that my hair loss is now under control. I.e. I don’t drop as much as when I’m showering, and definitely don’t see a whole bunch of hair on the floor everywhere I go!
